Paver Designs took home the Award of Excellence in the Watkins 2010 Ultimate Backyard Challenge Lite. Justin Hampton and his partner and father Jim Hampton accepted the award on March 9th at the Watkins Hardscape Contractor Seminar in Omaha. The Hamptons will receive 00.00 in merchandise from industry suppliers. Two landscape architects judged the 15 backyard projects last fall in the 5th UBC contest Watkins Concrete Block has sponsored. The contest rules were scaled down to accommodate current market conditions but the number of entries increased. Projects were 3000 square feet or less and could include retaining walls, concrete pavers or natural stone. Projects must be cleaned, sealed, landscaped and incorporate landscape lighting to qualify.
